MACHI CHUKA AT HU JING

This summer, Hu Jing showcases a Japanese-style of Chinese cuisine known as Machi Chuka. Created using carefully selected ingredients, an exclusive collection of 13 à la carte dishes include Bang Bang Chicken, Yu-lin-ji (Chinese-style fried chicken and pepper steak), as well as an exclusive set menu limited to 20 guests per day.
 
Each Machi Chuka dish is delivered with a Janu twist, highlighting subtle flavours and careful slicing techniques. Free-flowing drinks can be added to the set menu.

Autumn Afternoon Tea

As autumn approaches, afternoon tea menu will be full of seasonal flavours, including sweet potatoes, chestnuts and pumpkin. As well as sweet treats such as ‘Japanese Chestnut Mont Blanc’, ‘Sweet Potato Pie’ and ‘Pumpkin Cream Tart’, enjoy freshly baked scones with rum-scented chestnut paste. Savoury selection also features an impressive array of autumnal ingredients, such as mushrooms and yams, beautifully presented on the stand. Take your time to enjoy the changing seasons while admiring the view of Tokyo Tower through the large picture windows.

Japanese Fruit Cocktail Collection

Fresh fruit cocktails made with seasonal Japanese fruit are available at Janu Bar, with the selection changing each season. This season, three cocktails inspired by the sweet, floral aroma of Japanese grapes are available, allowing you to experience their aroma, flavour and aftertaste. Indulge in a distinctive cocktail experience in a grown-up setting, away from the commotion of the day.

JANU MERCATO

Festa del Raccolto al Janu Mercato

Drawing inspiration from Italy’s vibrant autumn harvest festival, Janu Mercato has created a special, limited-edition dinner menu featuring seasonal ingredients such as sweet potatoes, chestnuts, pumpkins, pears and grapes. The main course comprises sweet potato gnocchi with a rich quattro formaggi sauce and pancetta, accompanied by butter-sautéed figs. Take a moment to enjoy a gathering where conversation flows naturally as you savour the deep autumn flavours and aromas of fully ripened ingredients.

JANU GRILL

Seasonal Menu

Janu Grill will be offering a new, hearty seasonal menu, featuring ‘Salmon en Croûte with Chestnut Risotto and Mushrooms’, which showcases the flavours of autumn wrapped in pastry. High-quality fatty salmon is mixed with a flavourful cheese risotto accented with sweet chestnuts and a duxelles of mushrooms packed with umami, then baked in a fragrant pie crust. Serve with a beurre blanc sauce made with white wine and butter. This menu, which instantly adds a touch of glamour to the table, is available for dinner, limited to five meals per day, and can be shared by two to three people.

Purple Sweet Potato Mont Blanc Tart

Celebrate the flavours of autumn with our seasonal Mont Blanc tart, featuring purple sweet potatoes, a symbol of the season’s bounty. A crisp, golden base is filled with rich almond cream and chestnuts, then generously topped with smooth purple sweet potato cream, light Chantilly, creating layers of texture and warmth. Perfect for enjoying at home or gifting to someone special, the Mont Blanc is available for both eating in and taking away.

Autumn Menu

This autumn, enjoy a variety of dishes made with seasonal ingredients at Hu Jing. ‘Sashimi of Returned Bonito’ is marinated in a special sauce with plenty of seasonings; ‘Stir-fried Free-Range Chicken and Peeled Chestnuts in Oyster Sauce, Served on a Ceramic Plate’ combines seasonal chestnuts, chicken and mushrooms in a rich oyster sauce; ‘Autumn Salmon and Lettuce Eight-Grain Fried Rice’, which blends the umami of grilled salmon, the aromatic fragrance of grains and the crisp texture of lettuce. Evolving creatively while paying respect to tradition, these seasonal menus are available as a course or a part of the a la carte menu.

HU JING

Fridays at Hu Jing

For a new way to celebrate the end of the week, modern Chinese dining HU JING presents a seven-course dinner of sharing platters. This special menu is paired with free-flowing Veuve Clicquot rosé Champagne, the distinctive blush colour of which makes it as beautiful to the eye as it tastes on the palate.

Reservations are available for parties of two or more. The free-flow service is limited to 90 minutes and tables are available for up to two hours. The latest seating time is 8pm.

SUMI

Tsudoi Tasting Menu

Meaning ‘gathering’ in Japanese, the new Tsudoi menu at Sumi invites loved ones to come together around the table. Served omakase style, the experience features a selection of seasonal appetisers, charcoal-grilled Japanese black beef, pot-cooked rice and a collection of decadent desserts.

Janu Tokyo Original Gin Batch.2

Our second collaboration with Ethical Spirits, the latest batch of Janu Tokyo Original Gin is a celebration of the summer citrus fruit, including the refreshing aromas of yuzu and kabosu, sweetness of orange and freshness of green tea. A limited number of 375ml bottles are available to purchase, while the gin can also be ordered at any of the hotel’s eight restaurants and bars.
