Sunset Aperitivo on the Terrace

At Janu Mercato, a new Italian-inspired set menu will bring summer aperitivo hour to the Terrace, overlooking the greenery of Azabudai Hills and the lights of Tokyo Tower. The culinary experience comprises a generous selection of mixed antipasti accompanied by free-flowing Italian beer, Prosecco or non-alcoholic refreshments. Terrace-exclusive à la carte dishes will also be available to order.

Summer Afternoon Tea

In a light-filled setting opening onto the Garden Terrace, our Summer Afternoon Tea highlights seasonal fruits through a selection of sweet treats including mango pudding, Japanese pear panna cotta and pineapple tart alongside savouries such as spiced octopus fritters and striped jack carpaccio with lime.

Janu Patisserie

Mango Sweets Selection

A bright summer selection arrives at Janu Patisserie, highlighting the sweetness of seasonal mango. Savour creations such as Mango tart and new mousse cake ‘Paradis,’ blending smooth mousse with mango and passion fruit gelée, accompanied by a refreshing hibiscus drink.

Onigiri Bongo at Sumi

Founded in Tokyo’s Otsuka district in 1960, Onigiri Bongo is renowned for its enduring popularity. For one day only, proprietor Yumiko Ukon visits the hotel for a special collaboration featuring Bongo’s signature onigiri and exclusive fillings created by Sumi’s chefs, creating a joyful culinary experience shaped by Janu Tokyo’s spirit of connection.

Available exclusively on 23 August 2026, with two seatings at 1pm and 2.30pm.

Join a Master Mixologist

Hiroyasu Kayama at Janu Bar

For one night only, Janu Bar welcomes Hiroyasu Kayama, owner-bartender of Shinjuku’s Bar BenFiddich, recognised as one of The World’s 50 Best Bars. The evening sees Kayama create drinks using herbs grown on his own farm. Alongside Janu Bar’s signature cocktails, inspired by Tokyo’s dynamic districts, guests are invited to discover a quartet of cocktails and mocktails, including an exclusive creation linked to a city of personal significance.

Available exclusively on 31 August 2026, starting at 8pm.

Hu Jing

Summer Noodles

Two limited-edition summer noodle dishes arrive at Hu Jing, enhancing the lunchtime menu. Chilled Mala Noodles offer a refreshing take on the depth and spice of hot pot, with a mala soup layered with more than ten spices and special noodles kneaded with chilli while Seafood Jade Chilled Noodles combine salmon and seasonal vegetables with spinach in a chilled broth.

Summer Menu

A limited-time summer menu arrives at Sumi, featuring seasonal dishes such as pot-cooked rice with grilled corn, charcoal-grilled Kasumi duck and chilled grilled Kuroge Wagyu sirloin shabu-shabu with round aubergine and Manganji pepper, finished with refreshing sesame ponzu.

Seasonal Sushi and Kappo

Iigura brings the season to the table through the freshest Tokyo Bay-style Edomae sushi and chef-prepared kappo dishes, where delicate small plates and fresh sashimi are served alongside specialities such as sweetfish and pot-cooked rice with conger eel and vegetables.

Created in collaboration with Ethical Spirits, Janu Tokyo Original Gin celebrates the refreshing aromas of fruits grown in Azubadai Hills balanced with botanicals such as green tea and Janu Tokyo original coffee beans. Available for purchase or to order at any of the hotel’s eight restaurants and bars.
